Liberia calls 19 Pros for Togo clash

Lone Stars Head Coach James Salinsa Debbah has invited a 19 man strong foreign based contingent for the National Team Nation’s Cup Qualifier against Togo. Sekou Oliseh Jabateh, Francis Grandpa Doe, Patrick Gerhardt and Tonia Tisdell are making their return to the national team. Head Coach James Salinsa Debbah said the return of the four players is part of his rotation policy, according to a press release from the Liberian FA. The Former Liberian International named defenders invited for the match as Jordan based Teah Dennis, Gizzie Dorbor based in Isreal, Solomon Grimes who plays his club football in Cyprus and Dirkir Glay who flies in from Indonesia.

Anthony Snorti Laffor of South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns leads the line for the midfielders invited by Coach James Debbah. Others are Dioh Williams of Gefle of Sweden, Kpah Sherman of South Africa’s Santos, Theo Weeks based in Cyprus, Zah Krangar who plays in Malaysia and Alseny Kieta of France.

Others are Patrick Gerhart and Turkish based Tonia Tisdell. Debbah named his striking force as in-form Liberian international Sam Johnson, William Jebor based in Spain,Dauda Bortu who plays in Norway,Francis Grandpa Doe and Seku Kanneh who plays his club football in the United States. Meanwhile, Coach Debbah has invited South African based Dominic Tarpeh Doe who plays as a central defender and Australia based Emile Proof Damey. Debbah said the two players will be assessed during the team preparation and could make the team once they make the marks from the practice sessions.

The Lone Stars Head Coach said he expects players invited to begin arriving for the game on May 28, 2016 as he expects to move to camp on the 30th. Liberia faces Togo on June 5, 2016 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia. Meanwhile, the LFA has begun sending tickets to the invited players for the game. Liberia leads the standing in Group A of the Nations Cup Qualifiers with 9 points from four games. A massive home win against the Hawks of Togo will all but see the country through the finals of the cup of nations for the first time in 14 years.
