Harry Greaves, NOCAL & Michael Allison

By Emmanuel Savice

The National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) is apparently bankrupt after allegedly playing with millions of US dollars since it’s establishment few years ago.

There have been two major incidents that should draw the attention of investigators to authorities of NOCAL and affiliating partners. The death of Michael Allison and the latest death of former Liberia Petroleum Refinery Cooperation (LPRC) boss, Harry Greaves.

It was reported prior to Michael Allison’s death that the late Allison struck a deal with NOCAL to review a document and make meaningful recommendations. The late Allison, a renowned lawyer charged NOCAL 10,000 USD for his services.

It was also reported that the Speaker of the House, Hon Alex Tyler had an undentifying role to play in that deal. The report suggested that the late Allison received a cheque of 25,000 usd instead of 10,000 usd, and was asked to be accompanied by Representative Adolf Lawrence to encash the cheque, take off his 10,000 usd and give the balance 15,000 usd to the speaker. Up to date, we are not sure why this amount was inflated and why the speaker became a part of the deal and wanted a cut back.

It is interesting to note that while NOCAL and the speaker was being investigated, Mr. Allison was found dead behind the foreign ministry, just by the beach. The story continued that the late Allison died as a result of drowning. At least, the autopsy was respected by the public, but there remain linger questions…

In a related incident, Mr. Harry Graves, few months ago accused NOCAL of once having over eighty million usd (80,000000.00) in her account. Mr. Graves could not understand why NOCAL account was down to only 500,000 usd. He clearly accused authorities of NOCAL of foul play.

Yesterday, it was reported that Mr. Greaves lifeless body was found around the same location Mr. Allison was found.

Considering these occurrences, it is prudent for investigators to look back and review the death of these two great men and connect the puzzles. You can not bring closure to this case without investigating authorities of NOCAL and other interested partners.

Remember, the autopsy said the late Allison drowned in the ocean. Was he drowned by another force? Why these two men who had dealings with NOCAL died and bodies mysteriously discovered at the same spot? Is it the same assassin, or is it that everyone dealing with NOCAL likes the ocean, but can’t swim?

WE COULD BE WRONG WITH OUR THOUGHTS, BUT LET’s AUTHORITIES LOOK DEEPLY INTO WHAT’S GOING ON INSIDE NOCAL. THE FLAG IS RED!
