    Ngugi wa Thiong’o, a creative writer and distinguished professor of Comparative Literature and English at the University of California, Irvine, pays tribute to the late Prof. Chinua Achebe.  I first met the late Chinua Achebe in 1961 at Makerere, Kampala. His novel, Things Fall Apart, had come out two years before.
