Even though Senator Abraham Dillon has apologized, let me state again for the record, Mr. Dillon’s statement of using biblical scriptures to [justify corruption] is untimely and ill-thought but whatever way you put or justify it, it is FLAT out wrong to defend a bad character and actor like Musa Bility, who has a consistent history of criminal record nationally and internationally. Here’s my problem with the Dillon power play; prior to the convention Mr. Dillon had the singular most sacred responsibility to bring Kla Edward Toomey and Martin Saye Kolleh face to face to dialogue for the good of the party but the Liberty Party allowed Musa Bility and Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence to stage play the entire process while Senator Dillion served as an active participant undermining the party’s credibility.
A few years back, I remembered Israel Arkinsanya had some legal issues concerning scratch cards with one of the GSM companies, the party through Cllr. Brumskine demanded that he, Israel didn’t qualify for ANY position of trust in the Liberty Party, not until he had resolved his legal issues with the Court and Israel never got to occupy or served the position. Long story short, if Israel wasn’t qualified then, how is Musa Bility of all people with such criminal history is now the face of a party that so many have come to admired from afar?? Apart from Musa Bility criminal records, he’s from Nimba, and my dear friend and brother, Martin Kolleh is from Nimba, where is the geographic balance within the Liberty Party, to have both the Secretary General and “Chairman” come from the same county!?
The beauty of any democratic value is to respectfully agree and disagree on the issues that matter it doesn’t mean we are enemies when we disagree but it just simply suggest we see things differently. The willful classless act against Kla Toomey, by his own party is quite interesting. But more interesting is the fact that, Senator Dillon is a member of the LP legislative caucus why does he need to be vice chairman for political affairs? There is no need for the senator to occupy two positions on the Executive Committee of the Liberty Party. He’s an opinion leader whatever way you put it, and there is absolutely no need to be in both positions. Has ANYONE watched Musa Bility interview with Julius Jeh?
I urge you to go and watch it because even with his history of criminal records he demonstrated arrogance and disrespect towards Senator Dillon; during the interview and at some point, I thought he was about to insult the senator, bragging how he sponsored the Senator’s campaign and that he, Dillon cannot draw such comparison against his person for the malfeasance that has bedeviled his person, as though the Liberian people don’t know who he is. Do you blame him? Nope! Blame Dillon! Lastly, Dillon need to disassociate himself from Musa Bility, or else it undermines him, his message, and his so-called fight in the Liberian Senate.
Henry P. Costa, Chairman of CoP, you must speak to the issue also, your excuse provided earlier makes no sense. For the CPP, it just shows that after the CDC we are going to have the same group of people but this time well sophisticated in their class act to continue the corruption more than the CDC folks. Sadly, all the political party zealots who are often on social media have refused to call out their parties and for the parent body, the CPP to remain silent and not to condemn the LP, is also amazing. Hypocrisy is an understatement here. But as for some of us, we shall continue to put LIBERIA FIRST!
