In his official letter addressed to the Acting Chairman of the Council of Patriots, Mr. Mo Ali, Rep. Kolulah said, “I hereby reaffirm my opposition to the Weah-led government until it can use the available resources with which this country is endowed to revitalize the ailing economy and give our citizens a life of dignity. While I remain an influential member of the Alternative National Congress, I will be willing to join ranks with any group of citizens to demand our government to do the right thing.” He thanked the members of the Council of Patriots for demonstrating love for the country.News 

Representative Yekeh Kolubah Suspends Membership from Council of Patriots

MONROVIA – Representative Yekeh Kolubah, an ardent critic of the George Weah-led administration and a ranking member of the Council of Patriots, has suspended his membership from the COP. Rep. Kolubah did not give any reason for the suspension of his membership, but said he would withhold his membership until “it becomes necessary to for same to be reactivated.”

The Council of Patriots, headed by Mr. Henry P. Costa, was established by some group of influential individuals within the opposition bloc to be a pressure group that would serve as a watchdog that advocates the upholding of the rule of law and the economic wellbeing of Liberians. The Council of Patriots succeeded in staging two mass protests – June 7, 2019, Save the State and its sequel on January 6, 2020.
