Liberia will play Sierra Leone on June 5, 2017 in Monrovia in an international friendly football encounter at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium, a release from the Liberian FA said. The Liberia Football Association (LFA) said it has accepted a request from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) for the game to be played on FIFA International match day in Monrovia.
Both countries are preparing for the 1st qualifying round matches of the 2019 African Cup of Nations expected to be played in Cameroon. According to a release from the LFA, a 30-man delegation from the SLFA will arrive in Monrovia this weekend to honor the fixture.
Liberia is expected to fly to Harare where the Lone Stars will face the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Sunday, June 11th while the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone will host the Harambee Stars of Kenya in Freetown on Saturday, June 10th.
