Liberian Lone Stars Coach Salinsa Debbah is expected to name 22 players to face Cartage Eagles of Tunisia in the ongoing Afcons qualifier for 2017. The President of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), Musa Bility said yesterday. The match is scheduled for September 5, 2015.
According to FA President Bility, the coach informed him that besides the goalies, the squad will be comprised of foreign based players for the crucial encounter against Tunisia.
Reports say, Malaysian based striker, Francis Forkey Doe, who plays in the Malaysia Premiership with NS Matrix with 16 league goals to his credit from 18 matches, and currently the Premiership highest scorer will make the team. And Patrick ‘Ronaldinho’ Wleh of PKNS who recently scored a monster goal against Liverpool FC is expected to be included in Coach Debbah’s 22-man squad. James Debbah ignored the budding stars during Liberia’ first leg match with Tunisia.
Other players expected to make Lone Stars’ squad for the Tunisia clash include Patrick Gerhardt and Zah Krangar from Malaysia, Anthony Laffor from South Africa, William Jebor from Spain, Dirkir Glay from Kenya, and Teah Dennis from Jordan.
Others are Gizzie Dorbor from Israel, Sekou Konneh from Holland, Amadiaya Rennie and Sam Johnson from Sweden and Solomon Grimes from Cyprus.
Liberia lost 2-1 in the opening match against Togo in Lome last June and must beat Tunisia to get back on track for the 2017 nations cup qualifier.
