Guinea qualified to the next round of the 2016, of the Chan on a 4-2 home and away tallied. The match was played at Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.

A week ago, Liberia lost three-one to Guinea in Bamako, Mali – in continuation of the Chan, which ended Liberia’s luck with the two game series now over. This was Liberia’s first home game since fifa okayed the country to host football matches as the country was declared Ebola free by the World Health Organization.

Liberia score in the 36th minute through Vatalie Sieh. While Guinea score through Bangula Kollie in the 58th minute. The Lone Stars under Coach James Debbah have lost two matches away, and drawing one at home so far, since his high profile entry few months ago as the Lone Stars trainer.

Unlike the Chan qualifiers, meant for home based local stars on the continent, where it is just two strikes—home and away, he has five more games to play in the Afcons qualifiers.

He lost to Togo and Emmanuel Adebayo few weeks ago in Lome, before losing 3-1 to Guinea in Bamako, Mali. The Liberian Lone Stars are drawn in the Afcons with Djibouti, Tunisia and Togo. Tunisia and Togo are both atop the Table with three points apiece.
