Pants on Fire: Liberia Minister Under Fire After Hospital Denies Receiving EU Money

Mr. Editor

Is there anyone as OUTRAGE as I am over the missing EU money (US$13 million) intended for the children at Jackson F Doe Memorial Hospital??  (Re “Liar, Liar (pants on fire): Liberia Minister Under Fire After Hospital Denies Receiving EU Money”)

According to the aforementioned article (on FPA’s website), Dr. Francis Kateh, Administrator of the Jackson F Doe Memorial Hospital, denied that his facility had received any money” from the Ministry of Finance!  Who the hell are these people at the Ministry of Finance? Our rulers or damn rogues?
There are unconfirmed reports that some of the missing EU money (US$13 million) was used to build playboy mansions, pay for the services of expensive prostitutes, and buy baby clothing for Minister Konneh’s baby mama!
This is outright stealing!, but we all know that the official policy of the Sirleaf Administration is NOT to prosecute liars (perjury), looters and rogues (fraud)!
Therefore, We the people must demand that our elected representatives pass a legislation (Government Transparency Act of 2013) that would require itemization and the online publication of ALL monetary appropriations to each ministry, agency, etc!  It should be updated every day, just like online banking, and subject to public review and comments!
Rather than leaving governmental oversight to lazy lawmakers alone, I urge Speaker Tyler and his colleagues to pass this legislation (Government Transparency Act of 2013) which would allow we the people to see where every penny go!!
I, for one, would like to know how much public funding is being appropriated (spent) for Speaker Tyler’s food budget!!
